Olve Eikemo, known professionally as Abbath Doom Occulta or simply Abbath, is a Norwegian musician born on June 27, 1973. He is best known as a founding member of the black metal band Immortal. Before establishing Immortal, Abbath performed with Old Funeral, where he played alongside Demonaz, who would later become a fellow member of Immortal. Though primarily a guitarist, Abbath is also a skilled bassist and drummer. He began his musical career as a bassist and later recorded all drum parts for two notable Immortal albums, Pure Holocaust and Battles in the North. After departing from Immortal in 2015, Abbath announced plans to form a new band under his own name.
