Adam Randal Young is an American singer-songwriter and musician born on July 5, 1986. He is best known as the founder and sole member of the electronica project Owl City. Beyond this primary project, Young has pursued music under several other names, including Port Blue and Sky Sailing. He was also part of the electronica band Swimming With Dolphins and the post-rock band Windsor Airlift. Throughout his career, Young has collaborated with numerous notable artists including Paul van Dyk, Chicane, Armin van Buuren, Schiller, Relient K, Jars of Clay, and Switchfoot. In addition to his work as a performer and songwriter, Young has composed music for major brands such as Apple and Disney.
