After the Burial is an American progressive metalcore band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed in 2004, the group is signed to Sumerian Records and has released five of their six full-length albums through the label. The band has experienced significant lineup changes throughout their career, including two vocalist changes and two drummer changes. They also faced the departure of bassist Lerichard Foral and the departure and death of founding rhythm guitarist Justin Lowe. Lead guitarist Trent Hafdahl remains the sole remaining founding member. After the Burial is recognized as a key contributor to the development of subgenres including djent and progressive metalcore.
