Alien Weaponry

Formed in Auckland in 2010, Alien Weaponry is a New Zealand metal band from Waipu. The band consists of drummer Henry de Jong, guitarist Lewis de Jong, and bass player Tūranga Morgan-Edmonds, who joined in August 2020. All three members share Māori ancestry, which significantly influences their musical identity and creative direction. A distinctive feature of the band is their incorporation of the Māori language into their work, with a number of their songs written and performed in te reo Māori.
