Resurrection Fest is a rock music festival held annually in Viveiro, in the Lugo region of Spain, since 2006. Taking place during July or early August, the festival specializes in heavy metal, hardcore punk, and punk rock, establishing itself as one of Spain's most important music festivals due to its genre focus. The 2013 edition drew a record 33,000 attendees and generated a measured socio-economic impact of 3.3 million euros in the region. By 2015, attendance surpassed 54,500 people with an economic impact of 6.15 million euros. Throughout its history, more than 200 bands have performed at the festival, including internationally renowned acts such as Iron Maiden, Korn, Motörhead, Kiss, Scorpions, Rammstein, Slipknot, Megadeth, Slayer, Sabaton, and At the Gates, among many others. The festival has become a major platform for both established and emerging artists within the heavy music genres.
