Ax and the Hatchetmen

Formed in Chicago in 2018, Ax and the Hatchetmen are an American alternative and indie rock band. The group consists of six members: Axel Ellis on lead vocals and guitar, Salvatore Defilippis on vocals and guitar, Hunter Olshefke on vocals and bass, Phil Pistone on trumpet, Quinn Dolan on saxophone, and Nick Deputy on drums. The band is signed with Arista Records and released their debut album, So Much to Tell You, on October 24, 2025. They launched a tour bearing the same name as their album. According to Pitchfork, the band's music represents a refreshing take on indie rock that blends classic influences with modern sensibilities.
