Barão Vermelho is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1981 in Rio de Janeiro. The band was originally led by the songwriting duo of Cazuza on vocals and Roberto Frejat on guitar. Following Cazuza's departure in 1985, Frejat took over vocal duties while continuing as guitarist. In 2017, Frejat left the band and was succeeded by Rodrigo Suricato. Throughout its history, Barão Vermelho has been recognized as one of the most influential bands in Brazilian rock.
