Between the Buried and Me, often abbreviated as BTBAM, is an American progressive metalcore band from Raleigh, North Carolina. Formed in 2000, the four-member group features Tommy Giles Rogers Jr. on lead vocals and keyboards, Paul Waggoner on guitar and backing vocals, Dan Briggs on bass and keyboards, and Blake Richardson on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album through Lifeforce Records in 2002 before moving to Victory Records for subsequent releases. In 2011, they signed to Metal Blade Records and released their first extended play, The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues, followed by the full-length album The Parallax II: Future Sequence in 2012. Their discography includes Coma Ecliptic, released in July 2015, and the two-part album Automata, released in 2018. More recent releases include Colors II in August 2021, a follow-up to their 2007 album Colors, and their eleventh studio album, The Blue Nowhere, released in September 2025.
