Bonny Light Horseman is an American folk band formed by three accomplished musicians: Anaïs Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson, and Josh Kaufman. Johnson is known for his work with Fruit Bats and The Shins, while Kaufman has collaborated with notable artists including The National, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Josh Ritter. The band released their self-titled debut album in January 2020, establishing themselves as a significant presence in contemporary folk music. Their second album, Rolling Golden Holy, followed in October 2022, further developing their distinctive sound. Most recently, the band released Keep Me On Your Mind/See You Free in June 2024, continuing their creative output and artistic evolution.
