This Australian indie folk band was formed in 2009 and features David Hosking and Killian Gavin on vocals and guitar, Tim Hart on drums, vocals, banjo, and mandolin, Jonathan Hart on keys, synths, and vocals, and David Symes on bass. The group has released two EPs and five studio albums to date. Their debut album Moonfire arrived in 2011, debuting at number two on the ARIA Charts, while their subsequent releases Harlequin Dream and Limit of Love both debuted at number one in 2013 and 2015 respectively. The band released their fourth studio album, Suck on Light, on September 27, 2019, followed by their self-titled fifth studio album on May 26, 2023. The band's name was inspired indirectly by Randy Newman's song Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear, which includes the lyric "Oh, who would think a boy and bear, Could be well accepted everywhere."
