Barry Can't Swim is a Scottish electronic music producer and DJ from Edinburgh, born on 22 August 1992. His real name is Joshua Spence Mainnie. He released his debut album When Will We Land? on 20 October 2023, which achieved significant critical acclaim. The album was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize and appeared on numerous critics' end of year lists. His work has also earned him recognition at major award ceremonies, including a nomination for Best Dance Act at the 2024 Brit Awards and a Breakthrough Artist nomination at the 2026 Brit Awards.
