From Toronto, Ontario, Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band that has established itself as a notable force in the genre. The band has released seven studio albums and six extended plays throughout their career, demonstrating a sustained commitment to creating new music. Their most recent album, Psychic Jailbreak, was released on April 15, 2022. The current lineup features lead vocalist Liam Cormier, drummer Mike Peters, bassist and guitarist Jaye R. Schwarzer, and guitarist Jackson Landry. Cormier is the only original member remaining as of 2021. Beyond their primary work as Cancer Bats, the band members have also collaborated on a unique project, touring and recording as Bat Sabbath, a tribute band dedicated to Black Sabbath's legacy.
