Duane Chase is an American geologist, forester, and former actor born on December 12, 1950. He is best known for his role as Kurt von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound of Music. Chase also appeared in the 1966 family film Follow Me, Boys! and played Danny Matthews in a single episode of the television series The Big Valley.
