American country music singer and songwriter Chase Rice was born on September 19, 1985. Before pursuing music, Rice worked as a college football linebacker for the North Carolina Tar Heels and as a NASCAR pit crew member for Hendrick Motorsports. He gained initial prominence in 2010 as a contestant on Survivor: Nicaragua, where he finished as runner-up. That same year, Rice shifted his focus to country music and co-wrote "Cruise," performed by Florida Georgia Line, which became a diamond-certified single. Rice has released six studio albums throughout his career, with his third album, Ignite the Night, debuting atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. He has achieved significant chart success with two number-one singles on the Country Airplay chart: "Eyes on You" and "Drinkin' Beer. Talkin' God. Amen." featuring Florida Georgia Line. Rice is also recognized as a reality television personality.
