An American post-hardcore band from Davison, Michigan, Chiodos was formed in 2001. Originally known as "The Chiodos Bros," the group's name was a tribute to filmmakers Stephen, Charles, and Edward Chiodo, who directed Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The band released their debut full-length album, All's Well That Ends Well, on July 26, 2005. Their second album, Bone Palace Ballet, arrived in North America on September 4, 2007, debuting at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Independent Albums chart. Warner Bros. Records subsequently released Bone Palace Ballet in the UK on January 26, 2009, following a new distribution deal. In 2010, Chiodos released their third studio album, Illuminaudio, which featured Brandon Bolmer as lead vocalist and Tanner Wayne as drummer. The band's fourth and final album, Devil, was released on April 1, 2014, marking the return of original vocalist Craig Owens and drummer Derrick Frost.
