Cobra Starship

Formed in 2005 by Gabe Saporta, Cobra Starship is an American dance-rock band from New York City. Saporta initially recorded the first album as a solo project titled While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets before assembling a full band with guitarist Ryland Blackinton, bassist Alex Suarez, drummer Nate Novarro, and keyboardist Victoria Asher, all of whom provide backing vocals. Over a ten-year period, the band released four studio albums and achieved two Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles. Their debut album, While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets, arrived in 2006 and featured the single "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)". The group continued with ¡Viva La Cobra! in 2007, Hot Mess in 2009, and Night Shades in 2011. Cobra Starship officially dissolved on November 10, 2015, but the band reunited in 2024 with an initial performance at When We Were Young 2024 festival in Las Vegas, followed by announced dates at Riot Fest in Chicago and Warped Tour festival in Long Beach in 2025.
