Coheed and Cambria is a progressive rock band from Nyack, New York, formed in 1995. Led by vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez, the group blends progressive rock, pop, heavy metal, and post-hardcore elements. Most of their eleven studio albums are concept albums based on The Amory Wars, a science fiction narrative created by Sanchez and adapted into comics and a novel. Six of their albums have reached the Billboard Top 10, establishing them as a significant force in rock music.
