Formed in 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia, Combichrist is an American aggrotech and industrial metal band led by Norwegian vocalist Andy LaPlegua. LaPlegua is the sole studio member of the project, though the band features a rotating lineup of performers for live shows. In addition to Combichrist, LaPlegua has founded several other musical projects, including Icon of Coil, Panzer AG, Scandinavian Cock, and Scandy. The band's releases have achieved considerable commercial success, with multiple albums charting in top positions on dance and alternative music charts worldwide.
