Conjurer is a British metal band. The term conjurer itself has multiple meanings across different disciplines and art forms. Historically, a conjurer refers to a performer of evocation, the act of summoning a spirit or other supernatural agent, or alternatively, a performer of stage magic. Beyond music, the name has been applied to various works across different media. In classical music, there is a 2007 composition titled Conjurer by John Corigliano. In cinema, a 2008 American supernatural horror film shares the title. The visual arts also feature works with similar names, including The Conjurer, a 1502 painting by Hieronymus Bosch, and The Conjuror, a 1775 painting by Nathaniel Hone the Elder. The band Conjurer represents the musical incarnation of this versatile name.
