Born March 8, 1985, Cory Wong is an American guitarist, composer, record producer, and video producer based in Minneapolis. His musical background spans multiple genres including jazz, rock, and funk. Wong has built a diverse career as both a solo artist and collaborator, working with numerous musicians and bands. He is a recurring guitarist for the funk bands Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers, and has performed with notable artists including Dave Koz, Stay Human, Ben Rector, Dr. Mambo's Combo, Chris Thile, Dave Matthews Band, and Dirty Loops. In 2020, Wong released several albums that showcased different facets of his artistry, including Live in Amsterdam, a collaboration with the Metropole Orkest, and Meditations, a new-age album created with Jon Batiste. His more recent output includes two albums released in conjunction with his variety show, demonstrating his continued evolution as a multi-talented musician and creative professional.
