Formed in Sacramento, California in 2005, Dance Gavin Dance is an American rock band featuring lead guitarist Will Swan, drummer Matthew Mingus, harsh vocalist Jon Mess, and lead vocalist Andrew Wells. The group has experienced numerous lineup changes since their inception, with Swan and Mingus as the only members appearing on every studio album. They released their debut EP in 2006 before signing to Rise Records and issuing their debut studio album in 2007. The band has continued recording and performing, with several of their later albums charting on the Billboard 200.
