Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway is an American alternative metal band and solo project of Daron Malakian. The band released its self-titled debut album in July 2008. Following the release, the band entered a hiatus in late 2008, with Malakian citing a lack of enthusiasm and his heart not being into touring as reasons for the cessation. The band reformed with various line-up changes in 2010 and 2012, announcing plans for a second album, though further announcements ceased by 2013. Their second album, titled Dictator, was released in July 2018. A third album, Addicted to the Violence, followed on July 18th, 2025. Beyond this project, Malakian is also known for his work as the guitarist, composer, and second vocalist of the band System of a Down.
