Born September 6, 2000, David Alan Kushner II is an American singer-songwriter who grew up in the Chicago suburbs before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue his music career. His breakthrough came with the 2022 single "Miserable Man," which went viral on TikTok and achieved chart success across multiple countries, peaking at number 11 in Norway and number 19 in Ireland while also reaching the top 40 in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The track appeared on his debut extended play Footprints I Found, released in 2022 alongside the single "Mr. Forgettable." Within his first year of releasing music, Kushner accumulated 556 million streams. He continued building momentum with the release of "Daylight" on April 14, 2023, another TikTok sensation that would later appear on his debut album The Dichotomy in 2024. Throughout his career, Kushner has performed as an opening act for Lauv's tour and headlined his own Daylight 2.0 tour.
