This Swedish metalcore band from Gothenburg was formed in 2007 by Pontus Hjelm and Jimmie Strimell. Dead by April has experienced numerous lineup changes throughout their career, yet two members have remained constants since their debut album: Pontus Hjelm and Markus Wesslén. The current band consists of Pontus Hjelm on guitars, keyboards, and clean vocals, Christopher Kristensen providing unclean vocals, Markus Wesslén on bass and backing growled vocals, and Richard Schill on drums. Their longevity and core member retention demonstrate the band's commitment to their musical vision since their inception.
