Formed in 2006, Dead by Wednesday is an American metal band from New Haven, Connecticut. The group's current lineup features founding members Christian "Opus" Lawrence on drums and Michael Modeste on bass, joined by guitarist Dave Sharpe and vocalist Steve Alvarez. The band has released five full-length albums beginning with Democracy Is Dead in 2006 on Stillborn Records, followed by The Killing Project in 2008 on Eclipse Records and The Last Parade in 2011 on Fake Four Inc. The Darkest of Angels arrived in 2016 through EMP Label Group and featured contributions from various well-known metal singers. Dead by Wednesday released a self-titled album in 2019 via Combat Records following extensive touring in support of Flotsam and Jetsam. The band has also released the Death of the Rockstar EP in 2014 through Ear One Productions and appeared on Hatewear Inc.'s Brutal New Music Compilations volumes one, two, and three.
