Udo Dirkschneider is a German heavy metal vocalist who founded U.D.O., a band established in 1987 in Solingen following his departure from Accept. The band features Dirkschneider as vocalist alongside guitarists Dee Sommers and Alen Brentini, bassist Peter Baltes, and drummer Sven Dirkschneider. Peter Baltes, the bassist, is also a former member of Accept, while Sven Dirkschneider, the drummer, is the son of Udo Dirkschneider. Through U.D.O., Dirkschneider has continued to perform and record heavy metal music.
