DYNAMITE

Dynamite is an explosive composed of nitroglycerin, sorbents such as powdered shells or clay, and stabilizers. The invention was created by Swedish chemist and engineer Alfred Nobel in Geesthacht, Northern Germany, and received patent protection in 1867. Following its invention, dynamite rapidly achieved widespread use across various applications as a more dependable alternative to traditional black powder explosives. A key advantage of dynamite is that it enables the utilization of nitroglycerin's beneficial explosive properties while simultaneously reducing the significant risk of accidental detonation that was previously associated with nitroglycerin alone.
