Resurrection Fest takes place annually in Viveiro, in the region of Lugo, Spain, during July or early August since 2006. The festival specializes in heavy metal, hardcore punk, and punk rock genres. Over its history, the festival has hosted more than 200 bands, including internationally recognized acts such as Iron Maiden, Korn, Motörhead, Kiss, Scorpions, Rammstein, Slipknot, Megadeth, Slayer, and many others. The festival has grown significantly in scale and impact, with the 2013 edition attracting 33,000 attendees and generating a socio-economic impact of 3.3 million euros in the region. By 2015, attendance increased to more than 54,500 people with an economic impact of 6.15 million euros.
