From Tomball, Texas, Eli Young Band is an American country music group consisting of Mike Eli on lead vocals and guitar, James Young on guitar, Jon Jones on bass guitar, and Chris Thompson on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2002, establishing themselves in the country music scene. They followed this with Level in 2005 through Carnival Records, and then Jet Black & Jealous in 2008 via Universal South Records. Life at Best arrived in 2011 as their second major-label album under Republic Nashville, with 10,000 Towns released in early 2014. Throughout their career, the band has charted eight times on the Billboard country charts, achieving significant commercial success. Four of their singles reached the No. 1 position on the charts: "Crazy Girl," which was recognized as the top country song of 2011 according to Billboard Year-End, along with "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," "Drunk Last Night," and "Love Ain't."
