Ellende

About

This Austrian black metal project was founded in 2011 by L.G. as a solo venture before expanding into a live project in 2012 with session musicians. The project's name derives from a Middle High German adjective with West Germanic roots, originally meaning "being out of one's country" or "exiled." Over time, this term took on negative connotations, evolving into the modern German word "elend," which translates to "miserable." Ellende remains strictly L.G.'s solo project, with all other participating musicians serving as session or live players. The current live lineup includes P.F. on drums, L.B. and D.B. on guitars, and S.L. on bass, all of whom contribute their talents to bring the project's sound to audiences.
