English alternative rock band EMF hails from Cinderford, Gloucestershire, and rose to prominence at the beginning of the 1990s. The group's initial run lasted eight years, from 1989 to 1997, during which they released three studio albums before taking a hiatus. Their debut single, "Unbelievable," achieved significant chart success, reaching number 3 on the UK Singles Chart and climbing to number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their first album, Schubert Dip, also performed well commercially, reaching number 3 on the UK Albums Chart. After an extended break from releasing new material, EMF returned in April 2022 with Go Go Sapiens, marking their first album of new material in 27 years.
