Born on 28 December 1981, Frank Turner is an English punk and folk singer-songwriter who has built a prolific career spanning multiple decades. He initially gained recognition as the vocalist of post-hardcore band Million Dead before transitioning to a primarily acoustic-based solo career following the band's split in 2005. Throughout his solo work, Turner has been accompanied by his backing band, The Sleeping Souls, featuring Ben Lloyd on guitar and mandolin, Tarrant Anderson on bass, Matt Nasir on piano and mandolin, and Callum Green on drums. His discography is extensive, encompassing ten solo albums, four rarities compilation albums, one retrospective best of album, one split album and five EPs. Turner's ninth studio album, FTHC, released on 11 February 2022, achieved significant commercial success by reaching number 1 in the UK albums chart in the week following its release.
