About
Formed in 1980 in West Point, Kentucky, Gary Brewer and the Kentucky Ramblers are a family band known for their distinctive "Brewgrass" sound, a fusion of multiple American-roots music styles. The group marked a significant milestone in 2020 with their 40th anniversary, releasing the album "40th Anniversary Celebration" during the COVID-19 pandemic. The album achieved remarkable commercial success, spending 16 weeks at number one and 72 weeks in the top five on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart. The release garnered widespread recognition, appearing on the Billboard 2021 all-genre Top Current Albums Sales year-end chart alongside artists Rob Zombie and Ariana Grande. Following this success, the band submitted their work to the 64th Grammy Awards initial round for Best New Artist. In the wake of their 2020 album, the band collaborated with Americana singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale on the single "Pass Along The Good," which was co-written by Gary Brewer and Lauderdale.
