Gary Clark Jr. is an American guitarist and singer born on February 15, 1984, who fuses blues, rock and soul music with elements of hip hop. In 2011, he signed with Warner Bros. Records and released The Bright Lights EP, followed by the albums Blak and Blu in 2012 and The Story of Sonny Boy Slim in 2015. Throughout his career, Clark has established himself as a prolific live performer, with his live recordings documented in Gary Clark Jr. Live from 2014 and Gary Clark Jr Live/North America from 2017. His accolades include a 2014 Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B performance for the song "Please Come Home." In 2020, he won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for "This Land." His most recent album, JPEG Raw, was released in 2024.
