Virginia Claire Wigmore, known professionally as Gin Wigmore, is a New Zealand singer and songwriter born on 6 June 1986. She first gained notable recognition in 2009 when she was featured on the Smashproof single "Brother." Following this breakthrough, Wigmore has released four studio albums throughout her career. Her debut album Holy Smoke arrived in 2009, followed by Gravel & Wine in 2011, Blood to Bone in 2015, and Ivory in 2018. Her first three albums achieved chart-topping success on the New Zealand Albums Chart. Wigmore is recognized for her distinctive vocal style, characterized by a high pitched and raspy quality that sets her apart as an artist.
