Formed in 1986 in New York City, Gorilla Biscuits are an American hardcore punk band that emerged from the city's vibrant hardcore scene. Founded by Arthur Smilios and Anthony "Civ" Civorelli after meeting in high school on Long Island, the band released their self-titled debut as a 7" in 1988. Their second album, Start Today, arrived in 1989 and garnered underground popularity, establishing them as one of the most seminal youth crew bands. The band is currently signed to Revelation Records.
