Born on October 19, 1979, Gregory Alan Isakov is a South African musician currently based in Boulder, Colorado. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1986 and was raised in Philadelphia. His music blends indie and folk influences, featuring instruments including guitar and banjo. Isakov is widely known for several songs including "Words," "The Stable Song," "Big Black Car," "If I Go, I'm Goin'," and "San Luis." Throughout his career, he has released seven albums, with his most recent work, Appaloosa Bones, released on August 18, 2023.
