Founded in Middletown, Connecticut in 2000, Have a Nice Life is an American rock band created by Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga. The duo gained widespread recognition through their 2008 debut album Deathconsciousness, which initially received minimal attention from professional music publications but eventually achieved cult classic status as it spread throughout online communities. For many years, the band operated as a two-piece project before expanding their live performances. Beginning in 2017, Have a Nice Life started regularly performing with a full band lineup. This evolution marked a significant shift in their approach to live music. Their third album, Sea of Worry, represented another milestone as it became their first release to feature members of the live band, reflecting their growth and development over the years.
