Formed in Denver, Colorado in 2004, Havok is an American thrash metal band that has become a prominent force in modern heavy music. Frontman David Sanchez is the sole remaining original member, with current lineup additions including drummer Pete Webber and bassist Nick Schendzielos. The band has experienced multiple personnel changes throughout its history, with each studio album featuring a different configuration of musicians. Havok has released five studio albums to date: Burn in 2009, Time Is Up in 2011, Unnatural Selection in 2013, Conformicide in 2017, and V in 2020. Alongside bands like Bonded by Blood, Evile, Hatchet, Municipal Waste, and Warbringer, Havok has been credited with leading the thrash metal revival that emerged in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Their musical style draws from multiple influences including 1980s thrash metal, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, death metal, hardcore punk, and progressive rock and metal elements.
