Formed in 1995, Heaven Shall Burn is a German extreme metal band hailing from Saalfeld. The group has established itself as a significant presence in the metal music scene, currently signed to the Century Media record label. The band's lineup consists of vocalist Marcus Bischoff, guitarists Maik Weichert and Alexander Dietz, bassist Eric Bischoff, and drummer Christian Bass. Throughout their career, Heaven Shall Burn has released ten studio albums along with various other records. The band achieved notable chart success with their album Veto, which entered the German album charts at number 2 in 2013. Their most recent release, Of Truth and Sacrifice, performed even better commercially, reaching number 1 on the German charts.
