Higher Education Planet Earth, known as (Hed) P.E., is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1994. The band pioneered "G-punk," a fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock, and also incorporates reggae influences. After three albums on Jive Records, they moved to independent releases and later signed with Suburban Noize Records and Pavement Music. With sixteen studio albums, one live album, and three compilations released to date, (Hed) P.E. has sold over 700,000 albums worldwide.
