An American actress, singer-songwriter, businesswoman, and author, Hilary Duff began her entertainment career at a young age. She gained fame playing Lizzie McGuire in the Disney Channel series and subsequent film, before appearing in mainstream movies and later independent films. Duff has also starred in television series including Younger and How I Met Your Father. In 2002, she entered the music industry with her debut album, achieving major success with her second album Metamorphosis, which topped the Billboard 200 chart and earned a 4× Platinum certification from the RIAA.
