It Dies Today is an American metalcore band that was formed in Buffalo, New York, in September 2001. The group achieved significant success in 2004 with the release of their debut album, The Caitiff Choir. The band's lineup experienced a notable change in 2006 when frontman Nicholas Brooks departed, shortly after the release of their second album, Sirens. It Dies Today continued to release new material with the album Lividity in 2009 before entering a hiatus in 2010. The band reunited for a performance in 2012, though this reunion was temporary and paused again in 2015. In December 2022, It Dies Today was announced as part of the lineup for FurnaceFest 2023. The band later performed at Better Lovers BLissmas in their hometown of Buffalo on December 8, 2023.
