Born on August 7, 1975, Jason James Carter is an American lawyer and politician from Georgia. He served in the Georgia State Senate from 2010 to 2015, representing his constituents during this five-year period. In 2014, Carter was selected as the Democratic Party nominee for governor of Georgia, running for the state's highest executive office. He is the grandson of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.
