JD Pinkus

Jeffrey David "J.D." Pinkus is an American bassist born October 26, 1967. He is best known for his work with Butthole Surfers from 1985 to 1994 and their reunion beginning in 2009. Pinkus has collaborated with numerous artists and bands including Daddy Longhead, Helios Creed, and the Melvins, with whom he joined as a full-time member in 2013. He released a solo album, Keep on the Grass, in 2018, recorded entirely on banjo.
