Born February 7, 1984, Jeremy Ray Meeks is an American fashion model and actor. He gained public attention in 2014 following his arrest during Operation Ceasefire, a gang sweep in Stockton, California. At that time, Meeks was a member of the Crips street gang. His mugshot, posted by police on Facebook, became widely shared due to his physical appearance. He was subsequently convicted on federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and grand theft. While incarcerated at Mendota Federal Correctional Institution, his mugshot caught the attention of modeling agencies. Upon his release in March 2016, Meeks pursued a career in fashion modeling, transitioning from his previous life to establish himself as a professional in the entertainment industry.
