John Coffey

About

This Dutch punk rock and post-hardcore band hails from Utrecht and draws inspiration from influential acts including Refused, Every Time I Die, and The Ghost of a Thousand. The group's name references the character John Coffey from the 1999 film The Green Mile, directed by Frank Darabont and based on Stephen King's serialized novel. The band achieved widespread attention when a video and accompanying GIF circulated online showing the singer catching a beer while crowd surfing during a performance.
