Joshua Idehen is a British spoken-word artist who released his debut solo studio album on 6 March 2026 through Heavenly Recordings under exclusive licence to PIAS. The album, titled I Know You're Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got to Try, was created in collaboration with his creative partner Ludvig Parment and follows his 2024 track "Mum Does the Washing." The project blends spoken word with electronic, dance, house, gospel, jazz, and club-music elements, exploring themes including community, masculinity, friendship, personal change, grief, joy, and collective resilience. The album was preceded by three singles: "It Always Was," "Don't Let It Get You Down," and "This Is the Place." The release received generally favourable reviews from music critics and achieved notable chart success, reaching number two on both the UK Dance Albums Chart and the UK Independent Album Breakers Chart.
