Julien-K is an American electronic rock band based in Long Beach, California. The group began as a side project for electronic music created by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck, who are members of the band Orgy, alongside Anthony 'Fu' Valcic. The band's name is derived from the 1980 film American Gigolo, specifically from the character Julian Kaye, played by Richard Gere.
