KALEO

KALEO is an Icelandic blues rock band formed in Mosfellsbær in 2012. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jökull Júlíusson, drummer Davíð Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjánsson, lead guitarist Rubin Pollock, and harmonicist Þorleifur Gaukur Davíðsson. Since their formation, they have released four studio albums: their self-titled debut Kaleo in 2013, A/B in 2016, Surface Sounds in 2021, and Mixed Emotions in 2025. They also released the EP Glasshouse in 2013. The album A/B achieved significant commercial success, selling over one million copies worldwide. The track "Way Down We Go," the second single from A/B, became one of their most successful songs, earning double platinum certification in the US and reaching number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart on August 20, 2016. In 2017, KALEO received recognition from the Recording Academy with a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Performance for their song "No Good."
